I was originally licensed in 1987 as a professional realtor and I take that term very seriously. I strive to provide the best and most accurate information to the people who do business with me. My focus is to get the information you need and want quickly so we can get on with business whether that is getting the listing on the market or making the offer. We don't want to waste time wondering about those niggling questions that come up during the process.
I have served on the Business Practice Committee of the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board a couple of times in the past and I wholeheartedly believe it is very important to our profession. In 1993 I completed the Urban Land Economics course through the University of British Columbia. It was a gruelling four years working and studying, but I am glad to have taken it and achieved the results. I continue taking courses offered by the industry on everything from tenant occupied properties to legal issues to strata ownership so that I have the most up to date information and resources to draw on for you, the buyer and seller.
The real estate industry also has mandatory education as a requirement of continued licensing to keep those in the profession on top of changing legislation and striving for excellence.
In the past I have worked in the property management field so I have a pretty good understanding of the investment market as it relates to real estate purchases, the rules and what to watch for. In addition, I have taken journalism and marketing courses and worked in both of those fields. A well-rounded education, life experiences and many years of varying real estate markets have equipped me well to serve your best interests in any real estate transaction.
